Today, I'm grateful for
friends who inspire.
landon has a gift for music.
he can figure out just about any piano piece
as long as he's heard it before.
he can even compose.
like many kids, he took piano lessons for several years
but sadly, he lost interest.
poor mr. piano has really missed my landon
these past two years.
but, now
he has two new friends
who moved to the neighborhood last summer.
one plays the guitar
the other plays piano.
very well, i might add.
the three 15-yr-olds clicked.
many days after school
landon and sam walk in
throw their backpacks down
fill up their bellies with whatever they can find
then start jamming away
at the piano.
at the piano.
a gift has been re-born.
landon's passion for the piano is back.
he just started lessons again.
today, i'm grateful for
friends
friends
who inspire my kids
in a way that
only friends can.
*Funny story about this photo. I was trying to be sneaky and take it because, well,
you know how camera-shy teenage boys are.
Unfortunately, they spotted me.
When they did, they both quickly leaned back to get out of my view.
As a result, the leg on the piano bench went c-r-a-c-k.
Please enjoy this photo.
It cost our piano bench it's life. I don't think it's fixable.

Great posts Heather. You inspired me to get my blog caught up...hopefully before baby comes this week. I love that you are "grateful" for sticky furniture. Good attitude and well put into perspective. Love that Landon is developing his piano gift. He will always be grateful for that talent.
lol! Boys! Love it!
