gratitude: day 20

Today, I'm grateful for

music.

We purchased the recording of

david archuleta and the tabernacle choir

and watched it.

wow. it was extraordinary.
it seriously lifts you to another place
and puts you in a happy baby-Jesus-dream-land.
archuleta's flawless voice

combined with his cuteness :)
and a magnificent choir and orchestra?

simply divine.

this song was my favorite.

i have a crazy dream.

i want to sing in the mormon tabernacle choir.

i know it's way out there.

 i can not imagine how incredible it would be

to help make this kind of music

for the whole world to enjoy

week after week.

some day. another season.

i love pandora! what did we ever do without it?

i love to crank music in my headphones

while i walk out in the fresh air

or on the kitchen speakers

while i cook or while we clean.

it works magic in grumbling kids.

when we need to get happy (i.e saturday morning chore time)
we play the Lenka or Colbi Calait channel
or whatever makes grumpiest person happy.
 when we need some calming

we play the josh groban, hillary weeks, kurt bestor or mozart channel

or whatever seems calming at the moment.

i think God gave us music

as an extra little "i love you, so here you go" gift.

today, i'm thankful for music.
it brings flavor to my life.
