Christmastime is here!
We’ve decorated the tree.
Chester has rediscovered his favorite spot
we’ve hung our stockings with great care
leaving a spot for Hazel’s
right there.
we've even taken a ride on the North Pole Express!
| GASP! Could it be? |
| It's HIM, it's really Santa Clause! |
We were sad that Landon had to work. This was such a fun night! The UDSF sponsored the evening, along with the Heber Valley Railroad. We loved seeing our Ds friends and meeting more families touched by Ds. We met a family who had recently adopted a little girl from Ghana who has Ds. They were the first people to ever adopt a child from Ghana with Ds.
The train leaves from Heber City and goes 45 minutes one way (to the North Pole!) picks up Santa Clause and Mrs. Clause, then comes back. Along the way, happy elves pass out hot chocolate and cookies, sing Christmas songs, tell jokes and read stories. The greatest part was seeing the looks on our children's faces when they spotted Santa outside. It was priceless. I hope this is something the UDSF can do again! It's too expensive for us to take our big 'ol family every year. :) But what a fun tradition this would be.
