This weekend my dad and I went up to the Alta ski resort to stay in a cabin half way up the mountain. My cousin, S.had his 12th birthday and invited us up to this cabin for his birthday. We were also there with 4 other Dads with their sons. In order to get down to the cabin we had to ski off the side of a ledge and go down through a thick area of trees. We had to step down to the cabin to get inside the 2nd floor. Usually you would have to step up a 12 step flight of stairs to get up to the 2nd floor but instead we would step down.
The first day of the trip we would go down to the cabin, and just hang out all night and play outside in the snow.
On our second day we all woke up and ate breakfast and about 9:00AM. We got up and went outside to put on our skis and rode down to the lift at the lower part of the mountain. We spent half the day just skiing and having a blast. The only bad part about the whole trip was that at the top of the mountain it was very, very windy. It would take us about 5 minutes to get down low enough to where the wind would not bother us anymore. But otherwise the whole trip was very fun and somewhat adventurous.
