Easter Time!

We had lots of opportunities to celebrate Easter this year. It all started Saturday morning with the neighborhood egg hunt in the park behind our house.

Next we were off to the little tiny town of Mantua at the base of Sardine Canyon. This is where Jeremy's mother's family lives. We get together every year for an easter "wienie roast" and egg hunt. This year it was held at a church because it was so cold! There was still snow on the ground there.

Mantua is one Disney movie away from A.F. Bennett watches his toddler movie and the three others watch a big kid movie in the back seat. How did our parents ever survive road trips when we were kids?

Look at all this! When we got home, the Easter Bunny went to Wal-Mart and returned almost ALL of these kids' candy that was meant to go in their baskets the next day. L, S and M each sold their candy to me for $5. Of course, I kept a lot of chocolate and hid it away for emergencies. On Easter morning, we did the Easter basket thing at our house. We did something different this year. The kids had a string tied to their door. They followed the string on and on until it eventually led to the glorious basket. "Hey, I like this little game!" Bennett says after finding his basket under his bed.

Even Landon isn't too old for all this. He got an iTunes gift card and a book!
