Have you heard of the Preschool Prep Series? If you haven't...I'm here to tell you it's the best out there for teaching our visual learners their letters, numbers, shapes, colors and sight words and phonics. I first heard about it from Sarah Basile's blog. Sarah adopted cute little Zoya, then Mila from Ukraine and has had amazing results by using these products with Zoya. If you have (or will have) children who have Down Syndrome, you MUST check out all these posts that Sarah wrote about Zoya learning her letters, numbers, colors, and sight words using the Preschool Prep Series. I was sold after watching the two videos of her learning her letters. I ordered Meet the Sight Words and Meet the Letters, along with the flash cards from Amazon.com. Anya and Eli watched them together for a few weeks and I was blown away at how fast they started identifying their letters. Out of all of my six children, I have never had one that can identify all of his upper and lower case letters at the age of two until now. (PS..Have I ever told you how lucky Eli is to have Anya??) Anyway, The DVDs are mesmerizing to little ones. If you look on YouTube, you'll see babies who can "read" all their sight words because of these videos. Check it out!
