Talent!

Last week when Jeremy was in Washington D.C. at an ALSA conference, Sadie and Max decided they wanted to be in the Primary Talent show.  The night before, I was trying to get the kids to bed, tired and cranky because I had a cold.  Of course it was bedtime when they decided to try it out.  I was too tired to argue, so they got all the stuff out and gave it a go. In a matter of minutes, I went from grumpily growling to hysterically laughing. We played "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus. Whenever the song said "So I put my hands up..." Max would put his hands up in the air. Then Sadie would do her best to "move her hips like yeah."

These photos are of the performance.  You can't see Max in the pictures, but he's behind Sadie and it's his arms that are in the sleeves. Sadie's hands are in the shoes, making the feet move.  He somehow found her ear to make it look like she was listening through her ear piece when the song said "yeah."  Sadie lipsinked the whole thing and added some great facial expressions, too.

Hillarious!

I also had to take a picture of these sweet ballerinas. Some of the three and four-year-olds in the ward all got on stage in their dance costumes and floated and flittered as "When you wish Upon a Star" played in the background. So precious. I miss when Sadie was this age.
