THE Party

The Presents

Playing a game where the Birthday Girl has to guess who is behind her, bopping her on the head with the present and saying "Happy Birthday" in a disguised voice. Very cute. The funniest part was when it was Riley's turn. Instead of saying, "Happy Birthday," she said "Ya hafta Birth-ya." We laughed hysterically.

The Movie
HSM 3, naturally. It just came out on DVD. Just in the nick of time! Dad projected it on the wall.

Fifteen 10-ish girls and two little brothers.

The Activities

A pajama fashion show provided the perfect opportunity for each of them to receive the individual attention that they were competing for all night. Glad we got that in! We didn't get still pictures of this one because I filmed it.
Next we played a game where you pass around some bottles of nail polish and when the music stops, those with the bottles paint one nail. The first one with 5 painted, wins!

Snack Foods that Delight

On the Menu:
Assorted fruits, pretzles and Marshmallows with Chocolate Fondue
Chips & dip
Crackers & Cheese
Grape Lemonade Punch
Orange Juice Birthday Cake

And let us NEVER forget the Breakfast in Bed
This part didn't happen until the day after her birthday because Sadie and I went to St. George on Saturday and stayed a night with G&G. Sadie was a little concerned that we had forgotten this most important part of her birthday, but we wouldn't dream of it!

When we arrived home Sunday night after a long drive including an adventure on the freeway (Sadie's spacy mom forgot to fill up the car with gas before leaving St. George) The house was decorated with pink streamers and Christmas lights. Dad and Landon had strung them in a path that led from the kitchen all the way down to Sadie's bedroom. At the end, her room was strung with more lights and her bed was adorned with new sheets. How thoughtful!
