Creative Grandma is at it Again!

After reading all about Sherry and Kelly on my blog, my parents were happy to have the chance to meet them when they were passing through town on their way to Greg & Kris' in  Wyoming last week.  We were lucky to get them for a couple hours.

My mom, who loves to create, thought it would be fun to teach them how to make a true American "kid" dessert.  This was something she saw demonstrated on a morning news show.  This dessert is so sweet you can't eat much more than a few bites.  But is sure is fun to make.

You take ice cream sandwiches and line them up on a piece of tin foil.  Then you spread a thick layer of chocolate pudding mixed with Cool Whip on top of them, and some crumbled Oreos.  Then repeat those layers again, then cover the whole "log" with the pudding mixture.  Then you put it in the freezer and let it get firm, then slice it into slices.  Pretty ingenious, don't you think? .

It was so fun to spend a couple hours with G&G Hinton.  The Chinese girls were SO excited to meet the kids' grandparents.  Grandma and Grandpa  made them feel really special that night!
