My brother, Greg and his wife, Kris are building thier first house in Afton Wyoming. They're almost done! They just have a few projects to finish up before they can close on the house. We thought it would be fun to go help them for a day. We were very lucky that G&G Fillmore were able to let the 4 younger kids stay with them so we could get a lot done. They ALWAYS love staying at G&G Fillmore's! We all stayed with them Friday night, then Jeremy, Landon and I drove to Star Valley on Saturday morning.
What a gorgeous drive! It was colder than cold, but SOOOO pretty!
Here's my handsome baby brother working away in the 20 degree temps in short sleeves. That boy is WARM BLOODED! I was shivering all day. Look at all the snow that's still on the ground up there. Brrrrr.
It took Greg, Jeremy and Landon a good eight hours to get the deck to this point. During that time, Kris and I laquered and sanded the interior doors.Meanwhile, the kids enjoyed some good times at the grandparents. These are their "rooms" up in the apple tree. And their favorite spot...the hot tub!
And what can be better than an afternoon with the cousins in Grandma's awesome play room? Now you can see why these kids LOVE to go to this place. It's never-ending fun!
It was great to spend time with Greg and Kris and help them get a little further ahead in their project. I'm so excited for them to have such a beautiful new house! They are going to love it.
