Since baseball season is starting, we decided to make it a baseball party. Thanks to the nice lady at the Wal-mart bakery, we had a great cake just in the nick of time.
We were so grateful for good weather! We wrote on the invitations that we would go swimming at the Rec Center if it was bad weather, and we really didn't want to do that because we worried it would be hard to watch all the boys there. So we were SOO happy that the weather was sunny and free of wind so we could enjoy a nice, free afternoon outside. As soon as all the boys arrived, we drove to Discovery Park and found a ball diamond that wasn't in use. Perfect! After the two-inning baseball game, the kids played at the big wooden park for a while.
What a good-looking bunch of boys!
Then we went back home and opened presents. AWESOME! Lot's of Max's favorite things, one package after the other. It doesn't get better than that!
Make a wish, birthday boy!
After the cake, we still had about a half hour of our 3-hour party to fill up. So we quickly came up with a couple of back yard games. First, "Red Rover." (After a few groans.)
Then, a game called "What Time is it, Mr Fox?" This one was a hit. Even Jeremy and Sadie got into it! Mr. Fox says a time, like 5:00, then everyone takes that many steps. When he says, "dinner time!" then he turns around fast and tags the closest person. Of course, all the boys wanted a turn being Mr. Fox, so they took as big of steps as possible!
Only two weeks until baptism day! We can't wait!
