Thankful

We just returned from a relaxing, beautiful 3 days in St. George. We spent Thanksgiving with my parents and two of my sisters and their families. We forgot our camera, but here are a couple pictures that Heidi took.

Thanks to everyone for all the delicious food, and to Heidi and Scott for hosting the big feast.

Thanks to Michelle and Dave for allowing us to be the first family to try out their new condo. It was so comfy and relaxing there.

The day after Thanksgiving it was beautiful weather. We enjoyed an afternoon at the sand dunes, then over to G&G Hinton's clubhouse for some swimming and dinner.

One more thanks goes to Heidi for spoiling Eli with some new church clothes. He looked so darn cute today. I made the 3 little boys pose for a picture before they put on their play clothes. (They don't look a bit like brothers, do they?)

We have SO much to be grateful for. We realize that we have much, much more than the majority of the world.

We can stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. We can eat balanced meals with lots of variety.

We can hop into our warm car and travel places in comfort.

We have loving families on both sides who are there for us at all times (and put up with us!)

We can go to the doctor when we're sick. It may cost us more than we like, but at least we can. A couple of weeks ago we were reminded of this when Bennett and Landon both came down with Strep Throat.

One thing we are specifically grateful for this Thanksgiving is that Jeremy's mom is all right. She had a biopsy perfomed on a lump in her breast on Monday.

We all fasted and prayed and worried. And the result came in on Wednesday.

There's no cancer.

We know that it could have turned out differently, and we are so very happy that it didn't.

Most importantly we have the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to guide us in our lives and give us hope when times are tough.

God is good. Life is good. I want to always remember this and never complain.

That's one cute picture of your three little boys! Eli totally looks like he is enjoying being the youngest out of five. I'd like that too. Always being the cute little one, getting spoiled all the time... :D
Oh, and I'm glad you had a relaxing weekend. It's always good to remember what you are thankful for and to realize that there are SO MANY things to be thankful for. Makes you appreciate everything you have even more.
