Totem Poles

This month for my art lesson in Max's 4th grade class, we made totem poles. The kids are learning about native Americans right now.

I asked each of the students what animal they think they would be if they were an animal and why. They came up with some great answers! Then I gave them a few stacks of colored construction paper and told them to go to town, using as many colors and layers as possible. Again, they blew Mrs. E and me away with their creativity and talent! Wish I had my good camera there. They turned out so cute!
