Summer Vacation #1: Accomplished

We just enjoyed a marvelous weekend in Sunny St. George. It wasn't as sunny as it usually is in June. But that was A-OK. It was cold and rainy here, and perfect there. It even rained a little bit. Just enough to make it smell magnificent.

We drove down on Thursday night, landing at the grandparent's place for a nice visit before retiring to our accommodations. It was the first time Grandpa Hinton got to meet Eli.

On Friday, we met my sister, Heidi and her kids at the Willow Run indoor pool. The kids had a blast. Heidi and I sat out on the pool deck and caught up on life while poor Grandma was attacked by the preschoolers in the pool. She's such a good sport. She even commented on how "refreshing" it was to take a dip in the pool. That's after having kids yell, "Grandma, watch this!" for an hour straight.

On Saturday, we met Heidi & kids again, as well as my OLDest brother, Kerry with his 3 kiddos at the Hidden Valley Park in Bloomington Hills. G&G Hinton brought some delicious turkey & cranberry sandwiches.

The weather was cool and windy, but that didn't stop the kids from frolicking in the splash pad.

Sadie wasn't quite so brave.

But boys will be boys!

We had a party with the camera that day. Photobucket

And what about little Eli? Well, he mostly ate & slept.
It's what he does best.

Besides being really cute.

Great pictures Heather. I can see a huge improvement since you got that lens. Looks like it was a fun weekend. I am jealous, it's been a long time since we've been down there.
