Senior Prom

Only 3 weeks and our eldest will graduate from High School!
Aaaagh, where has the time gone? Can't even believe it.

He was so excited for prom.
He got to know a cute girl that he peer tutors with at school
and got up the guts to ask her to be his date.
Between the time she said "yes" and the actual prom,
and the two weeks since,
they became fast friends and have spent lots of time together.
We finally got to meet her Monday night when she came for FHE and dinner.

Turns out she has an older sister with Down syndrome.
Instant connection. :)

I've never seen him so excited for a date.
The night before, Jeremy was gone camping with the scouts.
Landon came into my room and excitedly told me all about his plans for the next day.

"She's going to look so pretty, Mom."
Melted my heart.

For their day date, they went to a trampoline place with a big group and played dodgeball,
then went and got lunch.

He only had an hour at home between the day date and the night one.
He looked so good in his tux!

They had dinner with the group at Carver's in SLC.
The prom was held on the top floor of the football Stadium at the U of U.
He said it was incredible.

The rained all day that day, but it stopped just in time for their pictures.

Don't know if I'm ready for him to grow up! He's filling out his mission papers now.
Such an exciting time for our boy.
How we love him.
