Preach it, Sister Hazel!
March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day. It’s celebrated on this day to signify that the 21st chromosome has 3 copies, instead of two.
It’s been fun seeing my Facebook news feed covered in pictures of sweet kids with Ds, in celebration of this day. What an amazing thing it is that so many walls of ignorance and intolerance can be brought down through the internet. We have so far to go, but I believe that our girls have a bright future ahead of them.
These kids are so blessed to be living on the earth right now. It’s such an exciting time.
