Night in Bethlehem

I'm just working on laying out our 2008 Blog Book (so fun, I can't wait to get it!) and realized that I never recorded anything about the awesome ward activity that we had at the first part of December. It was called "A Night in Bethlehem." The whole gym was transformed into a Bethlehem street, with shops and the whole bit. It was all put together by our awesome neighbors, the Montagnoli's (above.) They are the activity coordinators for our ward. And let me tell you...they rock! We've had some of the most creative, awesome activities in the past year or so. Martha loves to entertain, and when she plans, she goes all out! They don't even have a committee, which actually works to thier advantage because it forces them to use everyone in the ward to help, which in turn brings everyone out to the activity. All of the organizations are given assignments. In this case, we were each in charge of a "shop" in Bethlehem. Our primary was in charge of the Game Shop where the kids came and paid their tokens for little games that they could take home. We also provided all the little shepherds and angels for the program at the end, where the choir and the children sang some songs. Jeremy is in the Elders Quorum Presidency and they were in charge of the Fruit Shop. Here are some shots that Jeremy got as he walked around.
