Sadie begged me for months to have a "just because" party with some friends. We don't let them do slumber parties, so this was a compromise. Sadie and her best friend, Abbie planned this party a good month in advance. When I say "planned" I mean they had it all worked out on paper, minute-by-minute. When the time came for the party, I was still sick with the flu, but I didn't have the heart to postpone it. They spent a good 5 hours in the basement that night singing karaoke, dancing, playing games, eating and doing girl stuff. Negligent mom aside, it was a memorable night for 6 girly-girls.
